TANSZY BAILEYTEAM LEADER & COORDINATOR
Tanszy is a born leader, since 2006, she has been the inspiration for her family and friends to get on board for our annual trips to Guatemala. Tanner, her horticulturalist son, started Bare Hands Bear Fruit (Barehands.org) growing his passion through hers. Together with a team of volunteers, they help with food autonomy, water, and education in the underserved villages of Guatemala.
“We work with small villages in need and decide with them, what they need most. The kick behind it all is to help these families support themselves. The cool thing about that is that it helps so many more people than what we think, year after year. I’ve had several kids graduate and we continue to take teams every year through Bare Hands. We have planted over 25,000 fruit trees, aided with water quality and, we even built a church once. We partner with individuals as well… the majority of our support and volunteers are from small share donors. Families who want to make their vacation an experience, cultural and count.” -Tanszy Bailey
